Today I experienced my first Ghanaian public transportation breakdown while traveling from my shadow visit site to Tamale. After an hour of sputtering to a stop and some of the most elaborate rigging I have seen, another taxi came to pick us up and finish the journey to the next village where I took a tro-tro.
