Over summer break renovations were completed in the school's ICT lab. Now that it is confirmed I will be teaching ICT this year I have the key to the lab. Again, I wish I had taken a 'before' picture, but you can use your imagination to add dust and cobwebs to every surface.

We have 23 desktop computers that are connected to the internet.

However, this is the only functional desktop computer we have due to missing plug adapters. I gave it a test run; it is slow (I don't dare try to run more than one program at a time) but functioning.

Until the plug adapters arrive, the students will be using these netbooks provided by the government a couple of years ago. After a lot of trial and error with flipping switches and pushing buttons (voltage regulators, surge protectors, and power), I managed to get enough of the netbooks setup and running for my largest class, 25 students. Next week all ICT classes will be meeting in the lab and having hands-on lessons!
