For the two weeks we have been learning about microscopes in my first year SHS biology class. I've drawn a simple microscope, a compound light microscope, and now an electron microscope on a chalkboard for students to visualize these tools as my school has no microscopes or biology textbooks. I've also found pictures of microscopes online to show the students and even found a compound light microscope simulator on the internet so they could interact with a microscope. Their faces and expressions were priceless when they saw cells for the first time!
